Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Image and Light Photography (“we”, “us”) collects and uses personal information when you use this website. We are the data controller. You can contact us at info@imageandlight.co.uk.
What we collect
When you use our contact form we collect your name, email address, phone number and details of your photography requirements. We use this only to respond to your enquiry and to provide a quote or service you ask for. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries, or taking steps at your request before entering a contract.
Our contact form is provided by Web3Forms, which processes your submission on our behalf and forwards it to us by email. Enquiries are received in our Gmail account, which is provided by Google. To protect the form from spam and abuse we use hCaptcha, which may collect information about your device and how you interact with the page. This is needed to keep the form secure. Web3Forms, Google and hCaptcha may process information outside the UK, and you can read their privacy policies at web3forms.com/privacy, policies.google.com/privacy and hcaptcha.com/privacy. We do not sell your information or use it for third party marketing, and we keep enquiry details only for as long as needed to deal with your request and for a reasonable period afterwards for our business records.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies only with your consent, apart from those strictly necessary for the site and for remembering your cookie choice. When you accept analytics cookies we use:
- Google Analytics, to understand how visitors use the site, such as pages viewed and how people arrive.
- Microsoft Clarity, to understand how people interact with our pages through heatmaps and session recordings. Clarity may share data with Microsoft in line with Microsoft’s privacy statement.
These tools use cookie identifiers and information about your device and browser. You can accept or reject non-essential cookies using the banner, and change your choice at any time using the cookie settings button on the site. Our cookie policy lists each cookie, its purpose and how long it lasts.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, restrict or object to how we use it. Where we rely on consent you can withdraw it at any time. To make a request, email info@imageandlight.co.uk.
